Beware of Chameleon Candidates.........

Hillary Clinton, last year [on attacking Iran]-------
"I would certainly take nuclear weapons off the table"

Hillary Clinton, last week [attacking Barak Obama]-------
I don't believe that any Presidential candidate should make any blanket statements
with respect to the use of or non-use of nuclear weapons."

In 2000, during unlose-able election #1, Democrats shoved aside "stands for something" genuine candidate Bill Bradley, putting forward traditionalist chameleon candidate, Al Gore.
The sitting Vice President then lost to a guy few Americans even knew existed.
Since then Al Gore has demonstrated that he learned his lesson from the Chameleon behavior. The Democratic Party however, clearly did not.

In 2004, during unlose-able election #2, Democrats shoved aside "stands for something" genuine candidate Howard Dean, putting forward traditionalist chameleon candidate, John Kerry.
He lost even with 60% of voters against the incumbent's main policy position, Iraq!!!
Still no lesson learned.

In 2008, during unlose-able election #3, will Democrats shove aside "stands for something" genuine candidate Barak Obama, as to put forward traditionalist chameleon candidates, Hillary Clinton or John Edwards.
The leaders of the Republican National Committee are now openly cheerleading for Hilliary Clinton so they can have the person they need to be able to empty the church pews on election day and win their 3rd consecutive unwin-able election.

The collective statement of traditionalist Democrats........
--- Support whatever candidate we put forward, otherwise the Republicans will win.

Examining that statement, it can be separated into 2 parts.
Part 1 = Support whatever candidate we put forward
Part 2 = otherwise the Republicans will win

Given the past 2 elections, it may prove wise for traditionalist Democrats to consider that the first part of the statement is unworkable......Support whatever candidate we put forward.

The motivation for abandoning Part 1 of the statement is rather clearly communicated in the Part 2 of the statement........otherwise the Republicans will win.

It matters who the candidate is. These words should replace Part 1 of the statement.

Thus, the complete, new collective statement traditionalist Democrats should adopt now reads......
--- It matters who the candidate is, other wise the Republicans will win.

History is a good teacher but only to those willing to learn and behave accordingly.

Obama to be "Howard Deaned"

At some point in the lead up to the primaries, the traditionalists in the Democratic party, tending to only be willing to accept traditionalist "looks Presidential" chameleon candidates, will eventually decide to "Howard Dean" Barak Obama?

Their finger prints from the last time....

[from a syndicated article published by former Bill Clinton political adviser....Dick Morris, now a FOXNEWS contributor]
"Just as Howard Dean's edge in Iowa and New Hampshire vanished when the national media closed in and broadcast a steady diet of negative attacks (orchestrated by the leadership of the Democratic Party), so the national front-runners will likely impose their leads on the early states.

A BBC documentary that every American citizen of voting age should see for themselves

There are 3 parts. Each is 1 hour in length, plays on your computer for free.

The Use of Fear as a Political Strategy: The Chickens Come Home To Roost

Fear is an emotion. Emotions are temporary.
Preying on people's fears insures that eventually you will become the prey
[manifested in losing an election in a big way.....ie. November 2006 Republican Party]

Someone decided to take advantage of post 911 fears in the majority of Americans, providing the President with a ---"do anything you want"--- card.

He maxed out the card. Now the chickens are coming home to roost.

Lessons learned........

"Neither a man nor a crowd nor a nation can be trusted to act humanely or to think sanely under the influence of a great fear."
[Betrand Russell]

"What begins in fear usually ends in folly."
[Samuel Taylor Coleridge]

Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1961 [Farewell address ------ a.k.a. warning to American citizens]
[excerpts]......
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex.

The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.
We should take nothing for granted.

Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

The group of voters referred to as "Christian Evangelicals" have been played to by the Republican Party. The guy quoted below would not have gotten their votes........

George Washington....1796
[in the text of a treaty, later ratified by Congress and signed into law by John Adams]

"As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."
